I lost my mother two years ago; she was 91. I miss her as if she was on her 40s... same thing... a mother is a mother and we will miss their warm... I'm sorry Nikita your mother didn't get to know your child... for the ones who believe, she will. Or rather, she does... what is for the good of victims?

in borrowing some language from pathoforms, we can ask the following: is mandatory reporting of these allegations to the authorities respecting a victim's right to their dignity?

what if they feel too embarrassed over what happened or if it is their desire "not to testify" in court?

last night, besides announcing someone was disf.

and attacks on the catholic church's doctrines, they gave the april report of finances..... their expenses $900 and some... the collections were $500 and some, and they sent $300 and some to wt... they have a $300 some deficit.

they have to pay $12 at the bank; i was wondering if they have bounced a check :-) so.... they have in their pocket $500 and some... they asked to be generous on last night's donations.. there were only few people, half of when i last went three years ago.. circumstances brought me there to be with my daughter last night.. after the meeting, one of the speakers approached me to ask my opinion about a video they were all commenting.... i told him, "why do you want the opinion of a 'worldly person'?

It took a while for me to get back to this thread.. I apologized...

When I posted this thread, my intentions were to ask the ones who have information about the JWs if there was a problem in each cong... about less people showing up; about their financial problems as I have read on some posts that it is happening... and I thought it will be good for them to confirm that yes! less people are showing up and that yes! they may have been having financial problems...

Never my intentions were to compare to the Catholic Church about money.

But if that is the case on this thread, I will have my saying too.

I have six children on a parochial school... now they are married except one.. in other words, they are grown up now. I have 15 grandchildren baptized, first communions and so forth...on none of this functions have I ever been charge a cent.

I used to pay $65 a month for all six of them in the Parochial School... less than half of what other churches from other denominations were charging... I sent my two older to a Catholic High School (one of them is bluesapphire)... and at one point I was behind the payments and the Principal told me to forget it, to keep on paying and they erased the $s that I owed them.

I have belonged to an organization on the church that visit the sick, the elder homes, take food to the needy families; organized chain food to the sick, (take a whole dinner each night for two months, one family in charge each night) just to give some comfort and solidarity.. one time, there was this WEALTHY family with the mother dying from cancer.. we knew they didn't need for us to do a chain food: we did it out of love and concern, so they could stay at her bedside more time and didn't have to worry for cooking dinners... WHEN WE FIND A NEED WE NEVER ASKED IF THEY WERE CATHOLICS OR WAS OUR INTENTION TO PROLIFERATE OR INVOLVE THEM TO COME TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. The nursery homes we visited have a population of mostly Protestants; we didn't even care to ask what their religion was. Never the less, we would give them our undivided attention and feed them... some were so old that even if we would it want them to convert, they couldn't even hear us.... I can go on and on.. I have NOT pay a cent for any of the weddings or baptisms or nothing! I have contributed WHENEVER out of my love and because Scriptures say so.

I was just reflecting: once in a while, on this forum we get to see ourselves in a mirror for what we really are wether we like that image or not it always serves for our advance. In other words, how many times your comments uncovers hidden motives that the one posting wasn't aware off... sometimes our reactions to that kind of exposure, makes us jump and we go into denial for a while, but ALWAYS, deep inside us, we know there is a truth about us that will make us grow....

Some of your words have done that service to others in this forum... Also, how many trolls have you uncover? And that it's a big service to this forum especially for the lurkes.

Prisca could be very well doing that job to you even though I feel like telling Prisca off just because I like you so much... but, as I said before, I am one who does not know you yet to well... who does anyway? only we know ourselves, but lot of times we need to reflect our images on this forum's mirrors... I know my day will come! I just to chicken cause I'm embarras to all of you still. And I know I wil be embarras, that's the way I am. I'm a bit embarras of my English writting.

After the meeting, one of the speakers approached me to ask my opinion about a video they were all commenting.... I told him, "why do you want the opinion of a 'worldly person'?" He seemed surprised of my answer... I told him, "why are you surprised? that's all you have been talking about tonight referring to me, I'm worldly; if I wanted to comment, I would have raised my hand, wouldn't I?" I also told him, that I set myself up to hear the offensive way they attack the Catholic Church... and because of it, I wasn't going to be arguing with him, only to know that he wouldn't agreed....

When they announced the name of the desf., I turn to my daughter and ask her loudly, (in pourpuse) "who is that?" and to a lady in the back I asked her: "who betrayed her on this hall?" she looked surprised and she said, "we tried to keep our congregation clean". So I said, "if that is the case, how come you let me in, you know I'm one of the worldly". ( This took place while my daughter was in charge of cleaning the hall, he, he).

I could see the difference in my approach last night from before, thanks to all of you guys here... I liked a couple that I disliked before. He is an elder... (my daughters mentors, good!); they are the only ones that looked worldly to me... maybe they come to this forum. :-) !!!
